The LEGO product line of buildable collectible figures is called BrickHeadz.
BrickHeadz models turn familiar characters into compact, stylized brick-built figures. Their visual design usually features an oversized square head, a small body and simplified features assembled from standard LEGO elements. Many models also include accessories or small display plates.
The line launched in 2016 and has included characters from major entertainment franchises as well as seasonal subjects. Examples have come from Star Wars, Marvel, DC, Disney and other licensed properties. LEGO has also produced non-licensed BrickHeadz designs, including animals and holiday characters.
BrickHeadz should not be confused with LEGO minifigures. Minifigures are small articulated figures designed primarily for play inside LEGO scenes, while BrickHeadz models are larger display-oriented builds. The similarly collectible LEGO Mighty Micros line also used licensed characters, but its products were small vehicle-and-figure play sets rather than the BrickHeadz format.
