Cache is a bomb-defusal map created by FMPONE and Volcano. Its setting is a damaged industrial facility associated with Chernobyl, giving the map a distinctive abandoned-warehouse atmosphere.
The “de_” prefix identifies a bomb-defusal map in Counter-Strike’s naming system. The second part, “cache,” is the map’s individual name. This is why the filename differs from the short name used by players.
