Which Counter-Strike map was formerly called de_cpl_strike?

The story behind the answer

The Counter-Strike map formerly called de_cpl_strike is Mirage.

Mirage was originally created as a Counter-Strike map named de_cpl_strike for the Cyberathlete Professional League map pool. It was later revised and released under the name de_mirage, usually shortened to Mirage. The map became one of Global Offensive’s most played competitive environments.

Mirage is a bomb-defusal map with a Middle area connecting the Terrorist and Counter-Terrorist sides. Its major strategic zones include A site, B site, Palace, Apartments, Connector, Jungle, and Window. These callouts support varied strategies involving mid control, split attacks, and fast site hits.

The name change can cause confusion because de_cpl_strike remains visible in historical discussions and older map archives. Mirage is not the same map as Strike, a separate name used in Counter-Strike map history, and it should not be confused with Dust II, another long-running competitive classic.
