What is the final homeworld in Spyro: Year of the Dragon?

The story behind the answer

The final homeworld in Spyro: Year of the Dragon is Midnight Mountain.

Year of the Dragon organizes its adventure around four large hub areas, or homeworlds: Sunrise Spring, Midday Gardens, Evening Lake, and Midnight Mountain. Each homeworld contains portals leading to individual levels, character missions, and minigames.

Midnight Mountain is the fourth and last of these hubs. It leads to the final stretch of Spyro’s quest against the Sorceress, who has stolen the dragon eggs and rules the Forgotten Realms with her Rhynoc forces. The homeworld sequence is easy to mix up because the earlier Spyro 2 uses Summer Forest, Autumn Plains, and Winter Tundra; Winter Tundra is not part of Year of the Dragon.

After the main confrontation, players can continue exploring and collecting eggs and gems. Completing enough of the game unlocks an extended ending and a rematch with the Sorceress, so Midnight Mountain is the final homeworld in the normal progression, not necessarily the end of every activity.
