What is the European title of Crash Bandicoot: The Huge Adventure?

The European title of Crash Bandicoot: The Huge Adventure is Crash Bandicoot XS. The Game Boy Advance platformer was released in North America under its longer title, while European packaging and releases used the shorter regional name.

The game was developed by Vicarious Visions and published by Universal Interactive Studios. It was the first Crash Bandicoot game released for a handheld console, arriving in North American stores on March 13, 2002, and in Europe on March 15, 2002. Despite the title change, it is the same adventure in which Crash tries to restore the Earth after Cortex shrinks it.

Several unused or developmental names can cause confusion. The project was initially called Crash Bandicoot Advance, then passed through Crash Bandicoot X/S and Crash Bandicoot: The Big Adventure before receiving its final North American title. “Crash Bandicoot Advance” is therefore a development name, not the European release title. The “XS” branding is a regional localization choice, not a separate game or sequel.
