What is the B-side of the single 'Love Me Two Times'?
Answer
Moonlight Drive
Answer
Moonlight Drive
The B-side of The Doors' single "Love Me Two Times" is "Moonlight Drive." Both songs are associated with the band's second studio album, Strange Days, released in 1967.
"Moonlight Drive" is especially significant in The Doors' history because it was one of the first songs Jim Morrison wrote. Ray Manzarek later recalled that Morrison's poetry for the song helped inspire the two musicians to form a band. The track features Robby Krieger's distinctive bottleneck, or slide, guitar, which gives it an eerie, gliding sound.
For the single release, "Moonlight Drive" was edited to approximately 2 minutes and 16 seconds, shorter than the album version. The A-side, "Love Me Two Times," became a successful follow-up to "People Are Strange" and reached number 25 on the U.S. singles chart. A common mix-up is choosing another Strange Days track, but the B-side pairing is specifically "Moonlight Drive."
