What is Dwight's middle name?

Dwight's middle name is Kurt. The character's full name is Dwight Kurt Schrute III, a detail consistent with the Schrute family's eccentric naming traditions and Dwight's intense pride in his lineage.

Dwight is played by Rainn Wilson and serves as the assistant regional manager—and later, briefly, the acting or regional manager—at Dunder Mifflin's Scranton branch. His family background, beet farm, martial-arts interests, survivalism, and rigid personal code are recurring parts of the show's humor.

A common mix-up is assuming that Schrute is Dwight's middle name, but Schrute is his surname. Michael is also not part of Dwight's name; it is the first name of his longtime office rival and friend, Michael Scott. The suffix III indicates that Dwight shares his name with earlier members of his family.
