What event hosted the official announcement of Halo: Campaign Evolved?

The Halo World Championships hosted the official announcement of Halo: Campaign Evolved.

Halo Studios announced the remake during the October 2025 Halo World Championships. The presentation included a developer roundtable and a lengthy gameplay demonstration of “The Silent Cartographer,” one of the most recognizable missions from the original Halo: Combat Evolved.

The event was not the first time the project had appeared in public. Halo Studios had previously teased its Unreal Engine 5 direction through Project Foundry at the 2024 Halo World Championships. Phil Spencer also hinted at a Halo return during the June 2025 Xbox Games Showcase, but that was not the formal Campaign Evolved reveal.

That timeline explains why the wrong options can seem plausible. The Game Awards, Summer Game Fest, and Xbox Games Showcase are major announcement venues, and one of them did carry an earlier hint. The official title, platforms, gameplay, and release window were ultimately revealed at Halo’s own championship event.
