The concerts were designed as full Metallica events rather than standard opening-act packages. The tour's name is sometimes confused with Nowhere Else to Roam, a later 1993 tour, or the Guns N' Roses/Metallica Stadium Tour from 1992. Those were separate tours. Wherever We May Roam is the tour directly associated with the initial promotion of the Black Album.
