What clothing brand did Beyoncé co-found in 2016?

The story behind the answer

Beyoncé co-founded the clothing brand Ivy Park in 2016.

Ivy Park was launched as an activewear label connected to Beyoncé’s company Parkwood Entertainment and its original business partner, Sir Philip Green. The brand’s name combines “Ivy,” a reference to Beyoncé’s daughter Blue Ivy and the Roman numeral IV, with “Park,” reflecting the parks where Beyoncé said she exercised and found inspiration.

The label originally launched through Topshop in April 2016. Beyoncé later became the sole owner after Parkwood acquired Green’s interest in 2018. In 2020, Ivy Park entered a partnership with Adidas, expanding its sportswear and fashion collections.

Ivy Park is often confused with Parkwood Entertainment, which is Beyoncé’s management and entertainment company rather than her clothing label. The brand is also distinct from Beyoncé’s earlier fragrance and endorsement ventures.
