Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross seek the Tusk of Ganesh in Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. The artifact is a legendary relic tied to the Hoysala Empire and to a story about the Hindu god Ganesh.

According to the game’s mythology, Ganesh lost the tusk while defending his father Shiva’s temple. The tusk’s trail leads Chloe and Nadine through the Western Ghats, where they investigate ancient towers, temples and puzzles associated with Hindu weapons and Hoysala rulers. Chloe’s father was also searching for the tusk when he was killed by bandits, making the hunt personal for her.

The tusk is more than a treasure target. Asav, the game’s antagonist, wants to use it as a symbol to rally people and ignite a civil war. Chloe and Nadine eventually learn that the artifact is hidden at Belur, one of the Hoysala capitals, rather than at the misleading destination of Halebidu.

Players sometimes confuse it with the Phurba Dagger or Cintamani Stone, important artifacts from other Uncharted stories. The Lost Legacy’s signature relic is specifically the Tusk of Ganesh.
