What album won Beyoncé her first Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 2025?

Cowboy Carter won Beyoncé her first Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 2025.

The album, officially titled Cowboy Carter, was released in 2024 as Beyoncé’s eighth studio album. It explores country, Americana, blues, rock, and R&B, while also examining the history of Black artists within country music. Beyoncé described it as part of a broader trilogy project connected to Renaissance.

At the 67th Annual Grammy Awards in February 2025, Cowboy Carter won Album of the Year. The award was especially notable because Beyoncé had received many Grammy honors before that ceremony but had never won the general Album of the Year category.

The album is sometimes confused with Renaissance, which won awards but not Album of the Year. “Texas Hold ’Em,” one of Cowboy Carter’s singles, also won major recognition, but the question asks for the album receiving the top Grammy honor.
