What 2024 Apple operating system announcement included Palworld for macOS?

The 2024 Apple operating-system announcement that included Palworld for macOS was macOS Sequoia.

Apple previewed macOS Sequoia at its Worldwide Developers Conference in June 2024. In the announcement, Apple highlighted several games coming to Mac, including Palworld, alongside titles such as Frostpunk 2, Sniper Elite 4, and RoboCop: Rogue City. The presentation connected these releases with modern Mac graphics technologies such as MetalFX upscaling.

macOS Sequoia is also known as macOS 15, following macOS Sonoma. Apple released the operating system publicly in September 2024, with features including iPhone Mirroring, window tiling, Safari updates, and Apple Intelligence support on compatible hardware.

The common mix-up is confusing the announcement with the eventual game release or with an older macOS version. Monterey and Ventura predated the announcement, while Sonoma was the previous major release. Palworld’s inclusion was part of Apple’s effort to showcase a stronger gaming lineup for Mac, not the name of a Palworld-specific update.
