To what month and year was Palworld's deadline first extended?

Palworld’s first planned release deadline was extended to August 2023. The game was initially targeted for 2022, but its scope expanded as Pocketpair added more systems, content, and staff.

That delay was not the final schedule change. Development continued beyond August 2023, and Pocketpair later made another adjustment connected to launch support, including dedicated servers. Palworld ultimately entered early access on January 19, 2024, through Steam and Xbox Game Preview.

A common mix-up is confusing the first extension with the game’s actual early-access release date. August 2023 refers to the first revised development deadline, not the month Palworld launched. At early access, Pocketpair estimated that the game was about 60% complete, underscoring how much development remained.
