The #LikeAGirl commercial was made for which brand?
Answer
Always
Answer
Always
The #LikeAGirl commercial was made for Always.
Released in June 2014, the advertisement was created for Always, Procter & Gamble’s feminine-hygiene brand, with advertising agency Leo Burnett and director Lauren Greenfield. It challenged the idea that doing something “like a girl” meant doing it weakly or badly.
The commercial first contrasts adults and older children performing actions such as running, throwing and fighting with younger girls’ more confident interpretations. Its central question—when “like a girl” became an insult—helped turn a familiar phrase into a discussion about gender stereotypes and self-esteem.
The campaign became a major viral advertising success and later aired in a 60-second version during Super Bowl XLIX in 2015. It also won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Commercial that year. A common mix-up is confusing Always with other personal-care brands such as Kotex, Secret or Dove; those brands have run their own campaigns, but #LikeAGirl is specifically associated with Always.
