Rayman Legends is the direct sequel to which 2011 game?
Answer
Rayman Origins
Answer
Rayman Origins
Rayman Legends is the direct sequel to the 2011 game Rayman Origins.
Origins established a revived 2D platforming style built around Rayman, Globox, the Teensies, collectible Lums, and the richly illustrated Glade of Dreams. Legends continues that format while expanding the cast, locations, challenges, and cooperative gameplay. Its story begins after the heroes have spent a century asleep, while worsening nightmares threaten the world.
The sequel was first presented as a Wii U project at E3 2012, but its release was delayed and it ultimately launched across several platforms in 2013. It retained the UbiArt Framework while adding new mechanics, including Murfy interactions and musical levels.
Rayman Legends is the fifth main title in the series, whereas Origins is the fourth. Rayman Raving Rabbids and Rayman M are separate spin-offs, so they are not the game directly preceding Legends in the main platforming storyline.
