On which day was Fulham vs Chelsea the final match of the 2026–27 Premier League opening round?

Fulham vs Chelsea was played on Monday 24 August 2026 as the final match of the 2026–27 Premier League opening round.

The fixture took place at Craven Cottage with a scheduled 20:00 BST kick-off. It followed the opening match on Friday and the remaining fixtures spread across Saturday and Sunday.

Premier League rounds are often distributed across several days because of television broadcasting, stadium availability and European competition. The 2026–27 opening round therefore ran from Friday 21 August through Monday 24 August rather than being completed in a single weekend.

Fulham were the home team, while Chelsea travelled across London. The fixture completed Match Round 1, although later fixture changes could still occur elsewhere during the season.
