On which day is Manchester City scheduled to face AFC Bournemouth in the 2026–27 Premier League opening round?

Manchester City are scheduled to face AFC Bournemouth on Sunday, 23 August 2026, in the 2026–27 Premier League opening round.

The fixture is listed as Manchester City versus AFC Bournemouth, with City at home. It is one of two Premier League matches scheduled for 14:00 British Summer Time on that Sunday, alongside Brighton & Hove Albion versus Aston Villa.

The day is distinct from the Saturday programme, which contains six fixtures, and from Monday’s Fulham–Chelsea match. Newcastle United versus Liverpool follows later on Sunday and is scheduled as the day’s final game.

This question asks for the date rather than the venue. The match is scheduled at the Etihad Stadium, but identifying the stadium and identifying the day are separate fixture facts. The published schedule supplies both details.
