On what date was Metallica's The Black Album remastered and reissued in 2021?

Metallica's The Black Album was remastered and reissued on September 10, 2021.

The anniversary edition marked 30 years since the original album's August 12, 1991 release. Bob Ludwig remastered the album at Gateway Mastering, with Greg Fidelman overseeing the expanded project as executive producer.

The deluxe box set included the remastered album on a 180-gram double LP and a CD, along with live recordings, demos, DVDs, and other memorabilia. A companion release, The Metallica Blacklist, presented covers of the album's songs by artists from many genres.

This date is distinct from the 35th anniversary being marked in 2026. The 2021 edition celebrated three decades, while the original album itself remains a 1991 release. The reissue also differs from earlier re-releases in 2008, 2010, and 2014.
