On what date did Disney's Christopher Robin premiere in Burbank, California?

Disney's Christopher Robin premiered in Burbank, California, on July 30, 2018.

The premiere preceded the film's United States theatrical release on August 3, 2018. That distinction matters because a film can have a premiere date, a festival or special screening date, and a wider commercial release date.

The movie was directed by Marc Forster and stars Ewan McGregor as the adult Christopher Robin. It presents Pooh and his friends through live action and computer-generated imagery, returning them to a story centered on Christopher's adult responsibilities.

The release was part of Disney's continuing use of Milne's characters in new formats. Unlike the original animated features, Christopher Robin focuses on an adult protagonist and places the familiar characters in a modern twentieth-century setting.
