In which year was Mission: Impossible – Fallout released?

The story behind the answer

Mission: Impossible – Fallout was released in 2018. It is the sixth theatrical film in the Mission: Impossible series and continues Ethan Hunt’s conflict with the remnants of the Syndicate.

Christopher McQuarrie wrote and directed Fallout, making it the first film in the franchise to have the same director return for a second consecutive installment. Tom Cruise again stars as Ethan Hunt, alongside returning performers including Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg and Rebecca Ferguson.

The story follows the consequences of an IMF operation in which plutonium cores are lost. The resulting pursuit takes the team through several countries and brings back Solomon Lane, while August Walker becomes a major new figure in the mission.
