Supreme and Louis Vuitton released their famous menswear collaboration in 2017.
The collection formed part of Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2017 menswear presentation and combined Supreme’s streetwear graphics with Louis Vuitton’s luxury materials and monogram patterns. It included apparel, accessories, bags and other items.
The partnership attracted exceptional attention because it brought together a New York skate brand and one of the world’s best-known French luxury houses. The collaboration illustrated how streetwear had become increasingly influential in high fashion during the 2010s.
The year can be confused with the announcement or runway presentation date, but 2017 is the standard year associated with the collection’s release. Kim Jones was Louis Vuitton’s men’s artistic director at the time, while Supreme’s identity remained rooted in skateboarding and limited-edition drops.
