In which year did Beyoncé perform her first Super Bowl halftime show?

The story behind the answer

Beyoncé performed her first Super Bowl halftime show in 2013.

She headlined the halftime entertainment at Super Bowl XLVII on February 3, 2013, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. Her set included “Crazy in Love,” “End of Time,” “Baby Boy,” “Halo,” and other songs from her solo catalog.

The performance also reunited Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. Together they performed parts of “Bootylicious,” “Independent Women Part I,” and “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).” The appearance became one of the most discussed Super Bowl halftime performances of its era.

Beyoncé returned to the Super Bowl stage in 2016 as a guest during Coldplay’s halftime show, alongside Bruno Mars. That later appearance is separate from her first halftime-show headlining performance in 2013.
