Deborah Meaden first joined the investors on BBC's Dragon's Den in series 3.
Meaden became one of the programme's most recognisable investors after joining the panel in 2006. She replaced Rachel Elnaugh, who had appeared in the first two series. Meaden's background includes business interests in leisure, retail and hospitality.
Her direct, commercially focused questioning became a defining part of her television persona. She has also appeared in other British television programmes, including Strictly Come Dancing, but Dragon's Den remains her signature broadcasting role.
Series numbers and broadcast years can cause confusion because the programme's regular series and special episodes are not always labelled in the same way. The key distinction is that Meaden's first regular appearance was in the third series, not the second.
