In which city is the Marina Bay Sands resort located?
Answer
Singapore
Answer
Singapore
Marina Bay Sands is located in Singapore.
The integrated resort fronts Marina Bay in Singapore’s Downtown Core and has become one of the city-state’s most recognizable landmarks. Designed by architect Moshe Safdie, the complex consists of three hotel towers connected at the top by the Sands SkyPark, whose distinctive silhouette is visible across the bay.
Marina Bay Sands opened in stages in 2010. The resort includes a hotel, casino, convention centre, luxury shopping mall, theatres, restaurants, and the ArtScience Museum. Its SkyPark is especially famous for its observation deck and elevated infinity pool, although the pool is reserved for hotel guests.
The name can cause confusion because Marina Bay Sands is a resort rather than a city or a separate country. Singapore is both the city and the sovereign state in this case. It is also different from other major Asian resort destinations in Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Kuala Lumpur, all of which have their own landmark hotel and casino complexes.
