Beyoncé began the Renaissance World Tour in Stockholm in May 2023.
The opening concert took place at Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden, on May 10, 2023. The tour supported Renaissance, Beyoncé’s seventh studio album, and was her first solo concert tour since The Formation World Tour in 2016.
The production used a large central stage, extensive video screens, costume changes, dancers, and a robotic horse named Renéigh. The set list drew mainly from Renaissance while also including songs from earlier albums such as Beyoncé, Lemonade, and B’Day.
The tour continued through Europe and North America before concluding in Kansas City, Missouri, on October 1, 2023. It was followed by the concert film Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé, which premiered in December 2023. Stockholm is therefore the tour’s launch city, not its final stop.
