U2 released the album All That You Can’t Leave Behind in 2000.
The album marked a return to a more direct rock and pop sound after the experimental and electronic direction of the 1990s. It was U2’s tenth studio album and was produced by Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno, with additional production contributions from the band’s long-term collaborators.
The record includes “Beautiful Day,” “Stuck in a Moment You Can’t Get Out Of,” “Elevation,” and “Walk On.” It became one of U2’s most successful later albums and won multiple Grammy Awards.
The year is sometimes confused with 1997, when U2 released Pop, or 2004, when How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb appeared. All That You Can’t Leave Behind belongs to the transition into U2’s twenty-first-century recording career.
