Supreme first collaborated with The North Face in 2007.
The partnership joined Supreme’s graphic streetwear approach with The North Face’s reputation for technical outdoor clothing. Early releases helped establish a formula that would be repeated in later seasons: recognizable outerwear silhouettes were reworked with Supreme branding, distinctive prints, or unusual materials.
The collaboration became one of Supreme’s most durable partnerships. Jackets, parkas, bags, and other outdoor pieces often sold quickly, and many releases became prominent examples of the way streetwear could turn functional clothing into collectible fashion.
The North Face is not the same company as Nike, another frequent Supreme collaborator. Nike collaborations generally center on footwear and sportswear, while The North Face partnership is particularly associated with outerwear and equipment-inspired accessories.
