Disney’s animated series The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh began in 1988.
The series continued Disney’s use of Milne’s characters in a television format after the earlier theatrical featurettes and the 1977 film The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. It presented Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore and their friends in new episodic adventures.
The show ran until 1991 and helped introduce Disney’s version of the characters to a television audience. Jim Cummings voiced Winnie the Pooh in the series and later became strongly associated with the character.
The title can be confused with Welcome to Pooh Corner, a separate live-action Disney program that aired from 1983 to 1986. The two shows belong to different periods and formats.
