Beyoncé launched the sportswear brand Ivy Park in 2016. The brand was initially created in a partnership between Beyoncé and Sir Philip Green’s Arcadia Group, whose retail businesses included Topshop.
Ivy Park was presented as an activewear and lifestyle label combining athletic clothing with fashion-focused design. Its name was associated with Beyoncé’s daughter Blue Ivy and Parkwood Park in Houston, where Beyoncé reportedly spent time running as a young person. The brand’s launch expanded Beyoncé’s work beyond music and entertainment.
In 2018, Beyoncé acquired full ownership of Ivy Park after ending the partnership with Arcadia Group. The brand later collaborated with Adidas, producing apparel, footwear, and accessories. Because the ownership structure changed after launch, 2016 refers to the brand’s debut, not the later transition to complete control.
