Pokémon Pokopia is set in a post-apocalyptic version of the Kanto region. The story begins in a world abandoned by humans and made difficult for Pokémon to inhabit.
Ditto discovers the remains of the old world and finds its trainer’s Pokédex. After taking a form based on the trainer, Ditto meets Professor Tangrowth, who is investigating the environment and trying to understand why humans and Pokémon disappeared.
The setting is not the familiar Kanto of Pokémon Red and Blue. Pokopia reimagines the region after a major collapse, turning recognizable Pokémon-world ideas into a mystery about environmental decline, abandoned technology, and human departure. The game’s building mechanics then let players restore habitats across that damaged landscape.
