At which September 2025 presentation was Pokémon Pokopia first announced?

Pokémon Pokopia was first announced during a Nintendo Direct.

The announcement took place on September 12, 2025, when Nintendo presented upcoming software for Nintendo systems. Pokopia stood out because it introduced a slower, creative style of Pokémon game built around restoring land, crafting objects, and creating a home for Pokémon.

The reveal showed the game’s central idea: a Ditto transformed into a human works with Pokémon to develop a new paradise. That premise immediately distinguished Pokopia from the main series, where exploration, battles, gym challenges, and Pokémon training usually drive progression.

Nintendo Direct and Pokémon Presents are both presentation formats used to reveal Pokémon news, so they are easy to mix up. The specific debut for Pokémon Pokopia was a Nintendo Direct in September 2025. The game was later promoted through official Pokémon and Nintendo trailers before its March 2026 release.
