In what city is the Johnny Cash Museum located?
Answer
Nashville
Answer
Nashville
The Johnny Cash Museum is located in Nashville, Tennessee.
The museum opened to the public in May 2013 in downtown Nashville’s South of Broadway, or SoBro, district. Its address is 119 3rd Avenue South, placing it near the city’s major concentration of country-music attractions. Founder Bill Miller and his wife, Shannon, established it using their personal collection of Cash memorabilia.
The museum is devoted to Cash’s career as a singer, songwriter, actor and gospel, country, rockabilly and folk performer. Exhibits include handwritten lyrics, stage clothing, guitars, awards, family objects and material connected with his television and film work. A restored House of Cash sign is also displayed.
A common mix-up is Hendersonville, another Tennessee city closely associated with Cash. He lived there from 1968 until his death, and the former House of Cash was located there. The original property later burned during renovations in 2007, while the current public museum is in Nashville.
