In the Quran’s account of Noah’s Ark, the ark rests upon Mount Judi. Surah Hud 11:44 describes the flood waters subsiding and the ark settling on al-Judi, after which the decree of destruction is completed.
Mount Judi is traditionally identified with Cudi Dağı in southeastern Turkey, near the modern borders of Syria and Iraq. The name is also rendered as Judi, Jودي, or al-Judi in English transliterations.
This location differs from the wording of Genesis, which says that Noah’s ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. Because both traditions concern the same broad flood narrative, the two locations are often mistakenly treated as identical.
The Quranic passage also includes a dramatic exchange involving Noah’s son, who refuses to board and seeks safety on a mountain. The story emphasizes that ordinary physical elevation cannot protect someone from the divinely sent flood.
