In the Quran’s account of Noah’s Ark, on which mountain did the Ark come to rest?

The story behind the answer

In the Quran’s account of Noah’s Ark, the Ark came to rest on Mount Judi. Quran 11:44 says that the vessel settled on al-Judi after the floodwaters subsided.

This differs from Genesis, which says that Noah’s Ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. Mount Judi is commonly associated with Cudi Dağı in southeastern Turkey, although the precise historical identification of the Quranic mountain is discussed by scholars.

The Quranic narrative shares major elements with Genesis, including Noah’s warning, the flood, and the Ark, but its wording and emphases are distinct. Mount Judi should therefore not be treated as simply another name for Mount Ararat. The two locations belong to different textual traditions about the flood.
