In the Quran, Mount Judi is named as the place where Noah's Ark came to rest.
Surah Hud 11:44 says that, after the waters subsided, the Ark settled on al-Judi. The Quranic name differs from Genesis, which refers to the mountains of Ararat. Mount Judi is traditionally identified with a mountain area in southeastern Turkey near the borders of Iraq and Syria.
The exact historical geography remains debated. Some classical Islamic commentators associated al-Judi with a specific mountain, while other traditions connected the landing place with broader regions. The later prominence of Mount Ararat in Christian and Western exploration should not be projected backward onto the Quranic wording.
The verse also describes the floodwaters receding at God's command and the Ark's resting as part of the narrative's conclusion. As with other sacred-text geography, the traditional identification is distinct from proof of a surviving physical vessel; no Ark discovery has been scientifically verified.
