In the Quran, which mountain is named as the landing place of Noah’s Ark?

The story behind the answer

In the Quran, Mount Judi is named as the landing place of Noah’s Ark.

Surah Hud 11:44 says that, after the waters subsided, the Ark came to rest on al-Judi. The mountain is commonly identified with Jabal Judi in southeastern Turkey, near the borders of Iraq and Syria. The Quranic name therefore differs from the Mount Ararat location often associated with the story in later Christian, Jewish, and popular traditions.

The Quran presents Noah, called Nuh in Arabic, as a prophet who warns his people and receives divine instruction to build the vessel. The landing on al-Judi is one of the story’s distinctive geographic details.

Mount Ararat became especially prominent in Western tradition and modern Ark-search claims, but it is not the mountain named in this Quranic verse. “Mount Judi” is the specific answer for the Quranic account.
