In the Quran, what is the name of the mountain where Noah's Ark comes to rest?

The story behind the answer

In the Quran, Noah's Ark comes to rest on Mount Judi.

Surah Hud, chapter 11, says that after the floodwaters subsided, the ark settled upon al-Judi. Islamic tradition commonly identifies Mount Judi, also called Cudi Dağı, with a mountain in southeastern Turkey near the border with Iraq and Syria. The Quranic account therefore uses a different mountain name from the “mountains of Ararat” wording in Genesis.

The Quran calls Noah Nuh and presents the Flood as part of his warning to a people who rejected his message. It includes the ark, the rising waters, and the final settling of the vessel, but its narrative and theological emphasis differ from Genesis.

Mount Judi is sometimes mixed up with Mount Ararat because later popular culture often treats Ararat as the universal ark location. The two names belong to different textual traditions. Neither tradition has produced archaeological evidence accepted by mainstream scholarship as the Ark itself.
