In the Qur’an, on which mountain does Noah’s Ark come to rest?

The story behind the answer

In the Qur’an, Noah’s Ark comes to rest on Mount Judi.

Qur’an 11:44 says that, after the waters subsided, the Ark settled on al-Judi. This differs from Genesis, which refers to the “mountains of Ararat.” Islamic tradition commonly identifies Mount Judi with a mountain in southeastern Turkey near the borders of Iraq and Syria, although proposed identifications have varied.

The two accounts share the broad story of Noah, the Flood, and a surviving vessel but use different geographical names. Mount Ararat is therefore not the Qur’anic answer to this question. Mount Judi is the specific mountain named in the Qur’anic passage.
