In the Fast & Furious films, who plays Letty Ortiz?

Michelle Rodriguez plays Letty Ortiz in the Fast & Furious films.

Letty is introduced in The Fast and the Furious as Dominic Toretto's partner and a skilled mechanic and street racer. Rodriguez has portrayed the character across multiple installments, making Letty one of the franchise's longest-running central figures.

The character's story includes a presumed death, memory loss, and eventual reunion with Dom. Those plot developments can make the chronology confusing, especially because Letty returns in Fast & Furious after apparently dying at the end of the fourth film.

Michelle Rodriguez is also known for roles in Girlfight, Avatar, and the television series Lost. Letty's importance grows substantially over the series: she begins as part of Dom's original racing crew and later becomes a leading action character in her own right.
