In The Christmas Chronicles, which actor plays Santa Claus?

In The Christmas Chronicles, Kurt Russell plays Santa Claus.

The 2018 Netflix Christmas film follows siblings Kate and Teddy Pierce, who accidentally cause Santa's sleigh to crash while trying to record him on Christmas Eve. After the crash, they must help Santa recover the presents and save Christmas before dawn.

Russell's Santa is written as energetic, witty, and physically capable rather than as a silent or purely elderly figure. The performance includes singing, driving, and action sequences, giving the character a more contemporary comic style. Russell also performed “Santa Claus Is Back in Town” during the film.

The movie was directed by Clay Kaytis and produced by Chris Columbus. Darby Camp played Kate Pierce, while Judah Lewis played Teddy. A sequel, The Christmas Chronicles 2, was released in 2020, again featuring Russell as Santa and introducing Goldie Hawn as Mrs. Claus.
