In the British TV show Dragons' Den, which investor founded Crafter's Companion?

The story behind the answer

Sara Davies founded Crafter's Companion and later became an investor on the British TV show Dragons' Den.

Davies started Crafter's Companion in 2005 while she was a university student. The company initially sold a tool designed to help people make envelopes for handmade cards, then expanded into craft products, tools and materials sold internationally.

She joined Dragons' Den in 2019, becoming the programme's youngest female dragon at the time. Her business background made her especially associated with craft, retail and product development pitches. A common mix-up is to confuse Crafter's Companion with a product that Davies invested in on the show; it was her own company.

Davies's route from a student-made product to an international craft business is one of the clearest founder stories connected with the modern panel. Her appearance also broadened the range of industries represented among the dragons.
