Rob Law invented the children's ride-on suitcase Trunki and pitched it on the British television series Dragon's Den.
Trunki is a hard-shell children's suitcase designed so that a child can sit on it and ride while travelling. Law developed the concept as a more engaging alternative to ordinary luggage, combining storage with a ride-on form and child-focused colours.
Law appeared on Dragon's Den in 2006. The dragons declined to invest, but Trunki went on to become a successful British product and won major design recognition. Its story is another example of a business that did not receive a deal on the programme yet achieved commercial success afterward.
Trunki is often mixed up with Tangle Teezer because both became famous post-show products. Tangle Teezer was a hairbrush created by Shaun Pulfrey; Trunki is the ride-on suitcase created by Rob Law.
