The British programme Dragons' Den originally launched on BBC Two.
The first UK episode was broadcast on BBC Two on 4 January 2005. The channel was the programme's original home before the series later moved to BBC One. This distinction is important because viewers who mainly remember the show's later broadcasts may incorrectly identify BBC One as its launch channel.
BBC Two has traditionally carried factual, documentary and specialist entertainment programming, making it a natural initial home for a business-focused format. Dragons' Den was later promoted to BBC One as its audience grew and it became one of the BBC's most recognisable entrepreneurial programmes.
The programme's channel history is separate from its format history. Money Tigers was the Japanese source format, while BBC Two was the UK broadcaster that first transmitted the British adaptation. The channel answer therefore describes the original UK launch, not every channel on which later series appeared.
