Sara Davies first appeared as a Dragon on Dragon's Den in series 17.
Davies joined the BBC programme as an investor after establishing Crafter's Companion, a craft-products company she founded while she was a student. The business became known for products and tools aimed at craft and papercraft enthusiasts, and it developed an international customer base.
Her background gave the panel a Dragon with experience in product design, retail, manufacturing and direct-to-consumer sales. Those areas are particularly relevant to many of the small businesses that appear on the programme, although the show does not guarantee that an on-screen offer will become a completed investment.
Series numbers can be confused with broadcast years because a series may span a period different from the year viewers remember. Series 17 is the relevant programme identifier for Davies's debut as a Dragon.
