In the biblical Noah's Ark account, what was the name of Noah's wife?

In the biblical Noah's Ark account, Noah's wife is not named in Genesis. The flood narrative refers to her as Noah's wife and places her aboard the ark with Noah, their sons, and their sons' wives, but it gives no personal name.

Later Jewish, Christian, and Islamic traditions propose names for her. Naamah is a name associated with Noah's wife in some Jewish traditions, especially in later writings, but it is not supplied by the Genesis flood account itself. Other traditions offer different names, showing that the question has no single traditional answer outside a specified source.

This distinction explains why “not named in Genesis” is the precise answer. Names found in later literature, folklore, films, or religious commentary should not be retroactively presented as if they appeared in the biblical text. Genesis gives family relationships, not her personal name.
