Fulham hosted Chelsea in the 2026–27 Premier League opening weekend on Monday 24 August 2026.
The match concluded the first Match Round of the season. It was scheduled for 20:00 BST at Craven Cottage, Fulham’s home stadium beside the River Thames in west London.
Chelsea began the campaign away from Stamford Bridge. The fixture was one of several London matchups in the opening round, alongside Brentford versus Tottenham Hotspur and the matches involving Arsenal and Fulham’s fellow London clubs.
Fulham and Chelsea are both based in west London, but they represent different home grounds: Fulham play at Craven Cottage, while Chelsea play at Stamford Bridge. The Monday scheduling made this match the closing fixture of the opening weekend, rather than part of the Saturday or Sunday programme.
