In the 2014 film Noah, which actor portrays Noah's son Shem?

Douglas Booth portrays Noah's son Shem in the 2014 film Noah.

The film's principal cast lists Booth as Shem, one of Noah's sons. Russell Crowe plays Noah, Jennifer Connelly plays Naameh, and Logan Lerman plays Ham. The cast also includes Leo McHugh Carroll as the younger Japheth.

Shem is also one of the three sons named in Genesis, alongside Ham and Japheth. The film develops the family members as dramatic characters, but its relationships and events are shaped by the screenplay rather than functioning as a complete transcript of the biblical account.

Douglas Booth is an English actor whose other film roles include Romeo in Romeo and Juliet and Lord Byron in Mary Shelley. Noah was released in 2014 and was directed by Darren Aronofsky. Identifying the actor requires separating Shem from the other sons, especially Ham, whose role is played by Lerman.
