In the 1998 animated film The Prince of Egypt, which actor voices Moses?

In the 1998 animated film The Prince of Egypt, Val Kilmer voices Moses.

DreamWorks Animation released The Prince of Egypt in 1998. The film dramatizes the biblical story of Moses, including his upbringing in the Egyptian royal family, his separation from Rameses, and the Exodus. Val Kilmer provides Moses’s speaking voice and also voices God in the burning-bush scene.

The movie is not a retelling of Noah’s Ark, but it belongs to the same broad group of animated biblical adaptations. Its voice cast also includes Ralph Fiennes as Rameses, Michelle Pfeiffer as Tzipporah, Sandra Bullock as Miriam, and Jeff Goldblum as Aaron.

A common mix-up is connecting Val Kilmer with the film’s narrator or another major character. In the original English-language version, Kilmer is the central voice performer for Moses.
