In the 1992 film The Muppet Christmas Carol, who directed the movie?
Answer
Brian Henson
Answer
Brian Henson
Brian Henson directed the 1992 film The Muppet Christmas Carol.
The movie adapts Charles Dickens's 1843 novella A Christmas Carol, using Muppet characters alongside human performers. Michael Caine plays Ebenezer Scrooge, while Kermit the Frog portrays Bob Cratchit and other Muppets fill many supporting roles.
This was Brian Henson's feature-film directing debut. He was the son of Muppet creator Jim Henson, who had died in 1990, two years before the film's theatrical release. Brian Henson later became closely associated with the Jim Henson Company's productions.
A common mix-up is crediting Jim Henson as director because of his connection to the Muppets. Jim Henson did not direct this film, although his creative legacy and characters are fundamental to it.
